These itineraries are variations of Viking’s three existing 2020 Oberammergau itineraries — the 10-day Oberammergau, The Passion Play, the 12-day Oberammergau with Salzburg and the 10-day Oberammergau & Danube Waltz — all of which are almost completely sold out.

The origins of the Passion Play date back to 1633 when the Great Plague descended upon Oberammergau and many lives were lost. The villagers made a promise to God that they would tell the story of Christ every tenth year if they were spared from the disease, and the tradition still continues today.
