Adventure World Travel announces specialty Pink River Dolphin cruises in the Amazon

Award-winning tailor-made specialist, Adventure World Travel is excited to announce that select Delfin Amazon cruises will be specially tailored to the research and observation of the distinct Pink River Dolphin.

Pink River Dolphin Specialist, Dr. Joanna Alfaro, will be welcomed onboard the luxury Delfin III cruise vessel, providing travellers with the opportunity to participate in research and learn valuable insight first-hand from an expert. The cruise is expected to meet the current demand for travellers wishing to spot the unique dolphin along the Amazon.

In addition to the regular scheduled excursions, guests will act as Citizen Scientists, assisting Dr. Joanna Alfaro in collecting scientific data all while getting a closer and in-depth look at Pink River Dolphins.

As part of this hosted cruise there will also be special activities and excursions to learn more about the Pink River Dolphin including:

  • Guests will learn how to deploy Acoustic Seapods to collect and record sounds of dolphins and learn how to identify dolphin species by sound.
  • There will be hosted Q&A Lectures by Dr. Joanna Alfaro while aboard the Delfin III Cruise
  • Guess will be taught how to identify dolphin’s species and will learn how to properly collect and record data by using a distance lamp and thermometer.
