APT 2023 Canada and Alaska holidays

APT has announced the launch of its most popular Canada and Alaska holidays for 2023 early, with savings of up to $3,500 per couple on offer for bookings made prior to 29 April 2022.

The 2023 Canada and Alaska program includes the best of coach touring, rail journeys and cruising by offering seamless connection between modes of transportation allowing guests to see the best the destinations have to offer.

The itineraries focus on ‘bucket-list’ experiences such as traversing through the Canadian Rockies on the iconic Rocky Mountaineer in GoldLeaf Service, staying in multiple Fairmont properties – with a guaranteed Lakeview Room at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, and embarking on an ocean cruise through Alaska’s Inside Passage with the renowned cruise company, Holland America Line.

APT offers smaller group sizes with a maximum of 40 guests on Canada tours, all trips are fully escorted with an APT tour director and cruise liaison and the local operations team based in Vancouver provides security and service on the ground.

Returning for 2023 is the bestselling 22-day Rockies Odyssey and Alaska Cruise, a comprehensive return journey from Vancouver. Prices start from $12,695 per person, twin share with a saving of up to $3,000 when booked by 29 April 2022.

Also on offer is the 16-day Rockies Icons and Alaska Cruise which travels from Calgary to Vancouver and features a luxurious stay in Banff. Prices start from $9,995 per person, twin share with a saving of up to $3,000 when booked by 29 April 2022.

APT offers many Signature Experiences, and among the special moments is meeting a Mountie and listening to tales of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as well as joining a nature exploration following and breakfast at the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. There are also Freedom of Choice options aplenty such as a Harley-Davidson motorcycle sidecar tour, rafting, hiking, a Gondola ride or even a floatplane flight, before joining the week-long Alaskan cruise aboard one of Holland America Line’s prestigious ships in a guaranteed verandah stateroom.

For guests who wish to stay a little longer, the 25-day Rockies with Alaska by Sea and Land trip from Victoria to Fairbanks is a perfect choice. The itinerary takes in the best of western Canada and Alaska including Glacier Bay and Denali National Park. Priced from $14,495 per person, twin share with a saving of $3,000 per couple when booked by 29 April 2022.

The 19-day Rockies Explorer and Alaska Cruise is another terrific holiday on offer priced from $12,195 per person twin share, while the 32-day Eastern Canada, Rockies Odyssey and Alaska Cruise is priced from $20,995 per person, twin share adds magnificent experiences, accommodation and dining opportunities on the other side of the continent, from explorations of Toronto and Ottawa to stays at Niagara Falls and Montréal. Both trips offer early booking discounts.

APT’s Canada and Alaska product manager Hannah Wright said there has never been a better time to explore the region.

“The wide-open spaces, connection to nature and meaningful cultural experiences in Canada and Alaska set the area apart from the rest of the world,” Wright said.

“There are bucket-list moments around every corner, from traversing the Rockies aboard the Rocky Mountaineer and staying in a Lakeview Room at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, to an ocean cruise through Alaska’s beautiful Inside Passage.

“And with so much to see, there’s no reason not to explore Canada in full, with unforgettable experiences also awaiting throughout the diverse eastern reaches of the country.”
