Both trips depart Brisbane 31 January 2021 and are priced from $8,995 per person, twin share including a saving of $1,000 per couple when booked by 30 September 2021.

On tour Great Southern Rail & Tastes of South Australia with Broken Hill by Private Jet, passengers will enjoy 4 days aboard the all-inclusive Great Southern rail journey with visits to Coffs Harbour, Port Stephens, Newcastle, regional Victoria and Melbourne, as well as extensive Freedom of Choice touring options throughout. Once in Adelaide guests join APT’s air tour which begins with a special winery experience at St Hugo’s in the Barossa Valley. Their chartered private jet then flies to Port Lincoln for a bay cruise, a Coffin Bay oyster tour including a tasting, and lunch at a famous local fish and chip shop. Kangaroo Island is the destination with guests learning about conservation efforts at the Wildlife Park and visiting Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery.

On the final day, there’s a fascinating stop at Broken Hill on route to Brisbane, with a city sights tour, a visit and lunch at the Pro Hart Gallery and a drive past the iconic Palace Hotel, which featured in The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

Product manager of Australia and New Zealand, Maureen Styles, said, “I‘m excited to create this special combination of the iconic Great Southern train and a private jet tour. It includes touring through three states, unique winery experiences, Port Lincoln oyster tasting and cruising, and exploring Kangaroo Island.  It’s a wonderful combination of great locations and experiences, complemented by great food and wine and travelling in two distinctive modes of transport.”

APT’s product manager of Kimberley and Outback Wilderness Adventures, Cher Lontok, said the combination of the Great Southern and a 4WD Luxury Short Break allowed travellers to see so much: “It’s the perfect balance of adventure, exploring new places, enjoying local produce and wines, and staying in luxury accommodation.”

APT is including its Domestic Peace of Mind Deposit Cover on all bookings. Guests can pay an upfront fee of $95 per person to postpone their holiday up to 100 days prior to departure. All monies paid can be used towards a new booking within three years of departure.
