The inaugural sailing of Amy Johnson, the newest ship to join Cruise & Maritime Voyages’ (CMV) fleet, has been announced this week, allowing guests to be a part of history and sail on the ship’s maiden voyage.
Amy Johnson will homeport in London Tilbury in late May 2021, bolstering much-needed capacity and cruising year-round alongside Columbus. Previously sailing as Pacific Dawn under P&O, Amy Johnson is 70,285grt and has 798 passenger cabins, 148 of which are dedicated to solo travellers.
Amy Johnson is an adults-only vessel and will carry around 1,450 guests who can enjoy the choice of 11 bars and lounges on boards, as well as six dining venues. These will include three specialty restaurants: Fusion Asian Dining, The Grill Steakhouse, and Chef’s Table. Furthermore, the children’s facilities currently onboard will become the CMV Active Studio, the Livingstone Library, the Crafters’ Studio, and the Trumps & Aces card and games room, while the waterslides and waterpark will also be removed.
The ship’s maiden voyage (S101) will sail from Singapore on 14 April 2021 on a 43-night voyage via the Suez Canal, also visiting ports such as Mumbai, Santorini and Lisbon before arriving in London Tilbury on 27 May. Guests who wish to experience the historic sailing and be one of the first in the world to sail on Amy Johnson, will be able to book Buy One Get One Free fares from Thursday 13 February 2020.
In addition, CMV has also released details of Amy Johnson’s Grand Black Sea & Mediterranean Voyage (S111), available to book from 13th Feb with Buy One Get One Free fares. The cruise is one of CMV’s most immersive Mediterranean voyages and the 32-night sailing will visit exotic European destinations within Portugal, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Israel, Eqypt, Malta and Gibraltar. She will call into three different ports in the Black Sea, including a Maiden call to Constanta in Romania.
As of February 13 2020, prices for the maiden voyage will start from $5,169 per person (twin share) including Buy One Get One Free discounts. For the Black Sea & Mediterranean Voyage, pricing will start from $4,369 per person (twin share) including Buy One Get One Free discounts.
