Dinosaur Valley now open at Scenic World

Dinosaur Valley is now open at Scenic World, bringing the ancient rainforest to life with dozens of prehistoric dinosaurs until 27 February 2022.

Dinosaur Valley is a must-see family adventure which transforms Scenic World to a prehistoric zone over summer, inviting visitors of all ages to experience nature in new ways in the heart of the Blue Mountains.

Grab a dino selfie in the main plaza, descend into Jurassic rainforest via the world’s steepest railway, explore an open-air fossil museum with the escarpment as a backdrop, and see life-sized dinosaurs up close in Dinosaur Valley.

Free Kids Trail Guides will keep the little ones entertained, and the kids can continue the fun at home with Junior Ranger Packs filled with all the essentials such as binoculars, re-usable Dinosaur Valley water bottle, official Junior Ranger badge, bandana and more.

Marking the third iteration of the popular family event, two new dinosaurs will be introduced to the Dinosaur Valley herd this year. A life-sized Fukuiraptor will also take centre stage from December 18 with Raptor Tales, a theatrical 20-minute puppet performance delivered in conjunction with acclaimed dinosaur wranglers, ERTH. Tickets sold separately.

Scenic World Managing Director Anthea Hammon said Dinosaur Valley was back in response to popular demand as visitors look for new ways to explore their backyard after a prolonged period of lockdown.

“There’s no better time to reconnect with your loved ones, and we’re thrilled to bring Dinosaur Valley back into the fold as consumer confidence bounces back and the appetite for iconic tourism experiences returns,” she said.

Scenic World has also partnered with a range of accommodation providers, allowing visitors to extend their stay in the Blue Mountains.

Visitors will be able to experience Dinosaur Valley at their own pace this summer, with travel on the Scenic Railway, Skyway, Walkway and Cableway included. Dinosaur meal deals and merchandise are also available.

Entry to Dinosaur Valley is priced from $49.90 for adults and $27.90 for children under 16 years. Children under three are free. Dine and Discover NSW vouchers are also being accepted until June 30, 2022.

Visitors aged 16+ must be fully vaccinated for entry before December 15, with vaccination certificates required upon entry. Vaccination is not mandatory for visitors under 16 years, but they must travel with a fully vaccinated adult.
