Element Melbourne Richmond celebrates end of lockdown, launching the Ultimate Sleepover Experience with free arcade games, karaoke and cinema rooms, foodie demonstrations and more throughout the hotel. 

Element Melbourne Richmond is pleased to launch its Ultimate Sleepover Experience, a one-of-a-kind hotel takeover designed to celebrate the easing of Melbourne’s lockdowns.

Available to book from 2 November, 2020*, the Experience features activities and games spread throughout the hotel’s guestrooms and open spaces.

On the hotel’s top floor (which features Insta-worthy views over Melbourne’s CBD), eight guest rooms have been transformed with karaoke mics and screens, classic retro arcade games (including PacMan, Space Invaders, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Star Wars and more), air hockey and foosball tables and toys to keep guests of all ages entertained for hours. Also on the top floor, a meeting room has been converted into a pop-up cinema, complete with classic movies on rotation and freshly made complimentary popcorn.

Throughout the hotel’s public areas – including its lobby lounge, restaurant and outdoor laneway —  guests can embrace their inner V8 driver with a 3D car racing simulator, challenge friends to a game of pool or table tennis, chill out in the hotel’s igloos or participate in a wine tasting, cocktail masterclass or cooking demonstration with the hotel’s chef, Paulson Xavier.

To ensure guest safety as COVID-19 restrictions ease, the Ultimate Sleepover Experience will be available – on a complimentary basis – to those staying at the hotel. All areas will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised every hour, and signage will be posted to remind guests of social distancing guidelines – including restrictions on the number of people allowed in each room or activity at any one time, fitting with the government’s one person per four square metres regulation. There will also be signage to ask those enjoying the Experience to sanitise all equipment before and after use with wipes provided. The hotel’s signature Hand Sanitiser Bar – featuring hand sanitisers from companies like Four Pillars, Archie Rose and Mr Black – will be stationed in the hotel lobby, and individual bottles of hand sanitiser will be available throughout all activations and experiences.
