Free return flights on ‘New Zealand Less Visited – Secluded Islands and Fjords’ package

A small-ship exploration of New Zealand’s far-flung, less-visited island and fjords comes with free return flights to New Zealand for bookings made with Australian small ship cruise specialist, Cruise Traveller, before 31 October 2022.

Curated for lovers of nature, adventure and pristine, off-the-beaten-trail destinations, the new, week-long package in February, 2023, has been paired with NZ-based Heritage Expeditions which has pioneered conservation-driven, small-ship expedition voyages to some of the world’s wildest, least-explored and biologically rich regions since 1985.

Cruise Traveller’s seven-night fly, stay and cruise package begins on 28 February 2023, with a complimentary flight from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane to Queenstown in NZ for a night’s accommodation with dinner and breakfast before guests board Heritage Expeditions’ stylish, 140-guest exploration ship, Heritage Adventurer, for a six-night, round-trip cruise from Bluff – the southern-most town on New Zealand’s South Island.

The ship offers a restaurant, bistro, pool, jacuzzi, observation lounge, library, theatre and a wellness centre with gym as well as a fleet of Zodiacs for complimentary, expert-led excursions during the journey.

Heritage Adventurer will chart a course south to NZ’s ‘third island’, rugged Stewart Island, with its tranquil bays and coves, before venturing further south to the remote, subantarctic Snares Islands, a lonely, uninhabited and protected nest of islands that is home to millions of rare birds, penguins and seals.

The journey then wanders north for three days of scenic sailing in NZ’s famous Fiordland, including spectacular, well-known sounds like Doubtful – also known as the Sound of Silence, and Dusky but also other pristine, less-visited fiords only smaller vessels can reach.

After returning to Bluff and a transfer back to Queenstown, a complimentary flight back to Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane will end the adventure.

Including expert-led excursions and a night in Queenstown pre-cruise, the seven-night fly, stay and cruise package is available from A$8,750 per person, twin-share.  The complimentary flights apply to bookings made by 31 October 2022.
