Greg Mortimer, Aurora Expeditions founder and well known Australian explorer, will be the expedition leader aboard the maiden voyage of our new purpose built expedition ship the Greg Mortimer.

Greg Mortimer has always been at the forefront of adventure and exploration – nearly 35 years ago, in 1984, along with his expedition partner Tim Macartney-Snape, the duo became the first two Australians to reach the summit of Mt Everest. Even more impressively – they did so without the aid of supplementary oxygen! To honour Greg’s achievements and inspiring sense of adventure, we launched our latest expedition vessel: the Greg Mortimer last year. The ship is running ahead of schedule and as planned will set sail on its maiden voyage on the 31st of October, 2019.
