Icy wonderland Snow Time in the Garden returns this winter

As we head into Winter and the school holidays that are almost upon us, make the most of the icy cold weather at Hunter Valley Gardens Snow Time In the Garden Event, that’s making a return this year from 19 June – 18 July, 2021.

This month-long winter spectacular is located in the Hunter Valley; an easy two-hour drive from Sydney CBD, for families to experience incredible snow themed activities.

Test out your twirling skills on the ice skating rink, slide down a massive 45m long slope on toboggan rings, and with unlimited wristbands for the rides, be entertained on the traditional Venetian Carousel, tea cup ride and swing chair, and enjoy the 25 metre ferris wheel that overlooks the white snow-filled grounds.

This year you’ll feel the magic of winter with the walk-through chilled igloo filled with animatronic arctic animals.

From 11am to 3pm each day, enjoy entertainment from one of the many roving performers including adorable penguins, snow men and polar bears.

Once you have ventured around the winter wonderland, make your way to the many food stalls near the Snow Play Zone for some delicious winter treats to keep you warm and refuelled to enjoy a day of Snowy fun, made expecially for the young and young at heart.

The littlest members of your family can opt out of the toboggan slope and instead enjoy a twirling tea cup ride, or play in the man-made Snow Play Zone, where they can carve out snow angels and compete in the ultimate snowball fight.

Srinivas Gopal, General Manager at Hunter Valley Gardens said, “Snow Time in the Garden is like no other event we hold here at the Gardens. Each year we see families revel in the snow and enjoy a range of thrilling and unique activities. After postponing the event last year, we can’t wait to see families enjoy this winter wonderland event once again.”

He continued, “This year, the experience is more immersive than ever, including an extended ice rink with a dedicated section for those under 6 years old, and skating aids available to hire for this age group. With our walk-through igloo, guests will feel transported from the Hunter Region straight to the Antarctic, and with the many snow-filled activities, attendees will feel immersed in an entirely different magical world.”

Snow Time in the Garden will be open every day from 9am – 6pm from 19 June –18 July, 2021.
