Puppy love takes over as IHG Hotels & Resorts expand dog friendly packages

A man’s best friend, pandemic pet or inseparable family pup – pooches will be welcome at more IHG Hotels & Resorts with new hotel packages as well as the arrival of pet friendly luxe boutique brand Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in Sydney later this year.

You need not go much further than your local park, beachfront promenade or suburban street to see a fresh batch of lockdown puppies and their besotted new owners.

While some families have welcomed a new furry friend in lieu of travel this year, IHG are offering dog owners the best of both worlds with promises of more places to take their pup for post lockdown adventures and bonding.

IHG Hotels & Resorts is launching Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in Sydney in late 2021.  Kimpton has dog owners covered with all of the goods to keep pets pampered and are world renowned for inviting all pets to stay at no extra charge – no matter their size, weight, or breed as long as they fit in the lift.

Kimpton Sydney’s prized position in the heart of Sydney, combining Art Deco heritage with eclectic style is set to become a home away from home for stylish Sydneysiders and their pooches.

Close by, Crowne Plaza Sydney Darling Harbour is the latest IHG property to add pet friendly accommodation. Opened in October 2020, the hotel has just launched ‘Pawfect Packages’, allowing guests the perfect opportunity to staycation in Sydney’s CBD with their four-legged friend.

As part of the Crowne Plaza Sydney Darling Harbour’s ‘Pawfect Package’ people and their pups will be treated to room accommodation of their choice in either a Standard King Room, Superior King Room or Twin Deluxe room, plush dog bedding and food and water bowl facilities, as well as all-you-can-drink complimentary puppicino beverages at the Hotel’s Café 58.  The property even recently hosted local famed Instagram pooch, Whopper the Berner (@thebigwhop) to test out the experience.

There is no doubt every man and their dog will be ready for a change of scene once lockdowns end and no pet should be left behind.

International Dog Day is a great reason to celebrate our furry friends and think about where to go for postlockdown R & R.
