A poolside party to kick those winter blues to the curb
Flipping the idea that pool parties are only made for summer vibes, W Melbourne and its highly coveted pool WET, are throwing a poolside session on Sunday the 1st of August.
With its gold adorned roof, poolside bar and DJ booth, WET is the place for epic pool parties. Guests can live it up in this glam indoor space with drinks, gourmet bites and fresh beats across this four-hour event, rain, hail or shine in bikinis or boardies no matter the temp outside.
W Hotels are world renowned for their pool parties and this will be the first chance to experience one at the recently opened W Melbourne. To get the party started, W Melbourne has collaborated with local gin producers, Patient Wolf for a complimentary Melbourne Dry Gin & Tonic on arrival. Also included are roving canapes across the day.
Set to amp it up and set the scene, W Melbourne Music Curator, Rachel Phillips aka DJ Minx will be headlining and spinning tracks. A central role in driving the energy at W Melbourne, Rachel ignites the day-in-day-out music programming at the hotel alongside residencies and touring across the local and national club scene.
Over the past 16 years Rachel has toured the globe playing at the hottest nightclubs and DJing alongside the likes of Pete Tong, Carl Cox and Deadmau5. The Darling of Australia’s club scene, Rachel has left a strong footprint headlining at Goodbar, 161, and Pawn & Co, and festival line-ups across the country including Stereosonic, Good Vibes, For The Love and Ministry of Sound events.
DJ Minx will be supported by emerging local new and next talent, Beth Grace.
