Wild Earth Travel in partnership with Tasmania Boat Charters has created an exciting new boutique cruise experience along the East Coast of Tasmania.
This eight day itinerary is on board the boutique vessel Odalisque. Wild Earth Travel is excited to be launching this voyage, offering something new to the Australian and New Zealand market. This itinerary allows guests to access the unique and diverse coastline of Tasmania and areas only accessed by boat, it’s the perfect opportunity for those that want to see beyond the most tourist hotspots in true expedition style, whilst enjoying the comforts of Odalisque.
The itinerary will start with an included pre cruise night in Hobart, giving time to explore this unique city. Then guests will cruise to Bruny Island, where they visit artisan food producers including beer, wine and cheeses producers plus enjoy some famous Bruny Island oysters. Guests will then have an opportunity to spot fairy penguins return to their breeding colonies and enjoy walks to one of the many islands nature reserves including Adventure Bay.
After Bruny Island guests cruise along the Tasman Peninsula to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Port Arthur Convict Settlement and have the opportunity to hike the famous three capes walkway including Cape Pillar, Cape Hauy and Cape Raoul.
Next up is Maria Island, famous for its walk ways, beautiful beaches and wildlife including wombats. Guests will enjoy a visit to the islands settlement of Darlington and then be given a number of options for various walks around the island.
The voyage then finishes in the beautiful Freycinet National Park, featuring a cruise along the spectacular coastline of Schouten Island and then spending a night in Wineglass Bay – voted one of Australia’s top 10 beaches! This voyage showcases spectacular scenery, wildlife, adventure, gourmet food and more.
