Cunard has announced an extraordinary event voyage onboard the luxurious Queen Elizabeth. The line’s inaugural Great Australian Culinary Voyage will celebrate all aspects of Australia’s unique food and wine offering on a five-day cruise from Sydney on 28 January 2023. Culinary royalty will join the sailing ensuring a vibrant program of curated events and dinners, demonstrations, talks and onshore experiences.
Some of Australia’s most coveted chefs, wine makers and food critics will shine the spotlight on the country’s culinary uniqueness and diversity. Exclusive dishes created by talented Australian food icons will make the sailing the most memorable of experiences for all food enthusiasts.
Departing Sydney on 28 January 2023, the 5-night sailing takes in three of Australia’s culinary hotspots, sailing to Melbourne and Burnie (Tasmania), before arriving back in Sydney on 2 February. For a special launch fare starting from AU$1,349 in a twin share Inside Stateroom, Cunard guests will be able to taste exceptional creations, learn about Indigenous ingredients and local produce, sample beautiful Australian drops and immerse themselves in Sydney, Melbourne and Burnie’s food scenes on bespoke shore excursions.
Katrina McAlpine, Commercial Director Cunard Australia said “Australia isn’t just known for world-class beaches and stunning places, its unique produce and talented people have earned us a reputation as one of the world’s leading foodie destinations.
“We are extremely proud to showcase this on our Great Australian Culinary Voyage and to work with a fantastic line up of acclaimed culinary talent which we will announce early next year. I am also really excited to give our suppliers a platform to highlight their incredible produce and tell our guests the story behind what they are eating and drinking.”
