Sailing December, 2021

Travellers can spend their 2021 Christmas relaxing and exploring the majestic mountains and fjords of New Zealand before cruising to Australia to celebrate the 2022 New Year in Sydney on an ultra-luxury cruise offered by Crystal Cruises and Australian small ship cruise specialists, Cruise Traveller.

A new 17-night ‘Fireworks and Fjords’ fly, cruise and stay package will see guests pampered with fine dining, attentive service, included beverages, an unforgettable Christmas dinner at sea – with carols and all the trimmings – and a unique and exciting New Year’s Eve party on Sydney Harbour.

The package begins on December 20, 2021, with free flights to Auckland (from Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane, with A$250 extra from Perth). For a limited time, Crystal Cruises and Cruise Traveller are offering travellers savings of up to A$8230 per couple for bookings made by September 30, 2020.

After flying into Auckland, guests will stay at a five-stay hotel for a night before boarding Crystal Cruises’ ultra-luxury, 848-passenger Crystal Symphony and begin their journey down the coast of New Zealand, which has been used as the backdrop for ‘The Lord of The Rings’ and ‘The Hobbit’ films.

Highlights of the 17-night cruise include a festive Christmas Day at sea, Tauranga near the thermal wonders of Rotorua and the hill-hugging, coffee-loving city of Wellington. The voyage also features the French-styled harbour village of Akaroa near Christchurch, Scottish-themed Dunedin and an unforgettable cruise into world-famous Milford Sound. This majestic waterway is lined by razor-edged cliffs, cascading waterfalls and spectacular Mitre Peak, which soars 1692m from the fjord.

The cruise continues to Sydney where guests will get to see the iconic New Year’s Eve Fireworks extravaganza from the decks of the ship, which will be docked in White Bay, Balmain. The pretty NSW South Coast town of Eden is next on the itinerary before the cruise ends in Melbourne, with a free flight home to Sydney, Adelaide or Brisbane (Perth flight included in $250 surcharge).

Including free flights to Auckland pre-cruise (from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide) and from Melbourne (to Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide) post-cruise, a bonus US$200 onboard spending credit per person, onboard beverages, a specialty dining experience, WiFi and gratuities, the 17-night luxury package in December, 2021, is available from A$10,765 per person, twin-share – a saving of A$4115 per person-  and from A$13,975 for solo travellers – a saving of A$14,640. The cost from Perth is A$250 extra. The savings are available for bookings made by September 30, 2020.
