Explore America’s Pacific Northwest with a paddlesteamer river adventure in 2023

The American Queen Steamboat Company (AQSC) is offering earlybird holiday planners in Australia savings of up to US$2000 per couple – and US$1000 for solos – on a spectacular river journey through America’s Pacific Northwest in 2023 – with no deposit required until next year.

The savings and no deposit offer on AQSC’s paddlewheeler river adventures on the Columbia and Snake rivers are for bookings made by 31 October 2021, through AQSC’s Australian representative and small ship specialist, Cruise Traveller.

The special zero deposit offer means Australians can book now, free of financial pressure, on a 2023 holiday and pay no deposit until 31January 2022, and also benefit from substantial earlybird savings. And adding to the value are a host of complimentary inclusions such as hop-on-hop-off shore excursions, onboard meals, unlimited onboard beverages, unlimited wi-fi, a pre-cruise hotel stay, hotel-ship transfers and prepaid gratuities.

AQSC’s eight-night Pacific Northwest cruise package begins in Vancouver in the US State of Washington, on 19 March 2023, and finishes in Clarkston. Guests will cruise onboard the 223-passenger American Empress, the largest, river cruise vessel west of the Mississippi, offering classic elegance alongside modern luxuries. Boasting exceptional service, fine dining, Broadway-calibre entertainment and an impressive collection of North American regional artefacts dating back to the Gold Rush, American Empress allows guests a glimpse of days gone by as they journey down the scenic rivers.

The cruise will allow guests to follow in the footsteps of legendary explorers, Lewis and Clark, the first Americans to cross the western portion of the United States, from 1804 to 1806. The cruise also offers many complimentary shore excursions which allow guests to explore historic townships such as Astoria – the oldest American settlement west of the Rockies. American Empress will also take guests through breathtaking scenery including the famous Columbia River Gorge, lined with hidden waterfalls, rocky cliffs, wildflowers and also vineyards.  The cruise will delve guest into the heart of Washington’s and Oregon’s wine country, with Oregon alone boasting 725 wineries.  Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, the highly acclaimed wineries of the Pacific Northwest and their fine vintages have made a strong mark with international wine connoisseurs.

Beginning in Vancouver, Washington, the eight-night package includes a night’s accommodation pre-cruise, a seven-night cruise, guided, hop-on-hop-off shore excursions and onboard meals, beverages, wi-fi and gratuities. The packages start from US$2235 per person, twin share, in a Category D Riverview Stateroom – a saving of US$1000 per person – while a Single Veranda Stateroom for a solo traveller has been discounted to US$3035 – also a saving of US$1000.

Plus pay no deposit until January 31, 2022.  The savings and zero deposit offer are valid for bookings made by 31 October 2021. Offers are subject to availability and conditions apply.
