Travelmarvel, the leaders in premium cruising and touring today announced the order of three new European river ships.
Sailing from Amsterdam to Budapest and vice versa on Travelmarvel’s European Gems itinerary, the first of the brand-new Contemporary Class vessels will set sail on her maiden voyage in April 2020, followed by her two sister ships in April 2021.
“Every aspect of the new ships are designed with the Travelmarvel guest in mind, we have included more social spaces, modern fittings and state-of-the-art design to ensure the ships suit our guests’ desires,” explained Travelmarvel’s CEO David Cox.
The new ships feature a 2 ½ deck design, allowing maximum access to the ship’s Sun Deck throughout the cruise. Guests will be able to enjoy a drink at the rooftop bar, find a shady spot to unwind at the terrace garden, or go for a dip in the heated whirlpool.
With the stunning views in mind, both the main restaurant and Vista Lounge feature floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows. What’s more, the Vista Lounge’s bi-folding windows open out to the front verandah, allowing for uninterrupted airflow and outdoor access.
The brand-new Contemporary Class Ship also features a more casual dining and social area, McGeary’s Bar. Here, guests will be able to enjoy hearty pub-style meals and soak up the relaxed atmosphere as they catch up with friends.
The ship’s 91 spacious cabins, ranging from 14.2 to 24 square metres in size, feature a host of superior inclusions such as recessed blackout blinds, ensuring the perfect night’s sleep. The main and upper deck cabins feature wide horizontal electric windows which create a French style balcony when lowered, making the most of cabin space no matter the weather.
The first of the new ships will be joining the Travelmarvel Diamond and Jewel on Europe’s waterways in 2020, both of which underwent a soft refurbishment of the cabins, Vista Lounge, restaurant and reception in 2018.
