Viking has announced that from 2020, the line will expand its France river cruise fleet with the launch of four new Viking Seine Ships, exclusively sailing the eight-day Paris & The Heart of Normandy itinerary on the Seine River.
Featuring identical interior design, staterooms and common areas as the award-winning Viking Longships, the four 135-metre long Seine Ships are Viking Kari, Viking Radgrid, Viking Skaga and Viking Fjorgyn.
With customised hulls and engines specifically built to navigate the Seine River, these smaller 168-guest ships take guests deeper into Paris, docking in the heart of the city at Port de Grenelle – offering breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower, located just a short stroll away.
“At Viking, we pride ourselves on offering a cruise experience that lets the destinations we visit be the star of the show, so we are thrilled to be taking our guests deeper into the heart of Paris – the global centre for art, fashion, food and culture,” said Michelle Black, Managing Director of Viking ANZ.
“Every detail of Viking’s Seine Ships is designed to enhance and enrich the travel experience, so that guests can explore all that makes France so compelling. Like our state-of-the-art fleet of Longships, Seine Ships will offer guests unprecedented levels of comfort, including full verandas, as well as the largest suites and the most al-fresco dining on France’s rivers,” she concluded.
Known as ‘The Thinking Person’s Cruise’, Viking is destination focused, culturally enriching and carefully curated. Itineraries are developed with curious, experienced travellers in mind.
Viking’s eight-day Paris & the Heart of Normandy cruise from Paris to Paris starts at AUD$3,495pp for multiple 2021 travel dates, plus return economy flights from Australia to Europe from just AUD$995pp*.
